Qualifications
The team we have built here is one of a kind.
All of our staff have achieved or are working towards an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent.
​
Every member of our team is Paediatric First Aid trained.
We have two Early Years Teachers, Educators who have worked for Scallywags for over 30 years, room leaders who started as apprentices, a dedicated office support team and an experienced Chef who prepares meals on site, ensuring the children receive hot and well-balanced meals whilst at Scallywags.
Safeguarding
All staff at Scallywags are DBS checked.

Each access door is controlled by passcodes and an intercom. This enables staff in each room to approve entry to parents or guardians after they have been recognised on the camera.
All play rooms, corridors and outdoor areas are monitored 24/7 by CCTV.
​
Every member of our team has mandatory safeguarding training and all of our management team are Qualified Safeguarding Leads.
Family run for over 35 years
Scallywags was founded by an amazing lady named Belinda Ryan.
Belinda sadly passed away in September 2019, leaving behind an incredible legacy and positive impact on so many lives.
Scallywags remains a family run business and stays true to
